Broker Cashback vs Lender Cashback
Cashback can come from a lender's product or from a broker. They work differently, and knowing which is which helps you compare deals accurately.
Lender cashback
Some lender products include cashback on completion as a feature of the deal itself, often traded off against the rate or fee. It is part of the product's overall cost, so weigh it in the total-cost comparison.
It is set by the lender's terms.
Broker cashback
Cashback Remortgages offers cashback on eligible remortgages and product transfers, separate from the lender's product features and subject to its own conditions and completion. Ask for the amount and conditions in writing.
The two are assessed differently and should not be double-counted.
