Mortgage Information and Corrections Policy

Our public mortgage guides explain decisions and terminology. They are not a personalised recommendation, proof of eligibility or a current lender offer. Contact an adviser to discuss your own circumstances.

Sources and changing information

Guides link to relevant official or independent resources so that you can check the underlying subject. Lender-specific terms, scheme rules and legal or tax requirements can change. Use the actual current product or scheme documents when making a decision.

Where an example is hypothetical, it is labelled as an illustration rather than a market average, current offer or forecast. A publication or source date must not be treated as a guarantee that every product remains available.

What calculations can and cannot tell you

Our public calculators explain their inputs and assumptions. Repayment and overpayment illustrations assume a constant rate and monthly payments; cashback values are conditional and are not added across alternative mortgage routes.

Calculators do not run every lender's affordability model, check your credit file or approve a property. They should support questions, not replace an individual assessment.

Authorship and publication

We do not present an automated quality score as financial approval. Newly AI-generated blog drafts require a manual publication decision. A named author or reviewer should only be attributed where that contribution actually occurred; general guides are not described as independently certified advice.

The dated blog archive and the evergreen guides serve different purposes. A historical news item is not a current lender quote. If you spot information that appears outdated or inconsistent, let us know.

Request a correction

Email enquiries@cashbackremortgages.co.uk with the page address, the statement in question and a relevant source if you have one. Do not include sensitive financial documents or personal application details in a public review or comment.

For a service complaint rather than a content correction, use the complaints procedure. For questions about your eligibility or a product recommendation, contact the mortgage team.

General mortgage information, not a personal recommendation. Lender criteria and scheme rules can change. Ask an adviser about your circumstances and a solicitor or tax adviser about legal or tax questions. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. Most buy-to-let mortgages are not regulated by the FCA.
