Changing Your Mortgage Broker
You are generally free to change mortgage broker if you are unhappy, though timing and any fees are worth understanding before you do.
When and how
You can usually switch adviser, but if an application is already submitted, changing broker may mean starting parts again with a new firm. Check whether any fee has become payable under your current agreement.
There is no obligation to use an estate agent's recommended broker.
What to consider
Weigh the reason for changing against any delay to a time-sensitive purchase or remortgage. A clear conversation with your current broker sometimes resolves the issue.
